System requirements.

In order to use web-LEAD, you must have a valid log-on ID and password. These are provided by Lead Management Services once authorization has been given by the company sponsoring the program.

In addition, you must use Microsoft Internet Explorer® version 5.0 or higher, with 128 bit encryption. To download a current version of Internet Explorer, click here.

Troubleshooting

System doesn't accept user name or password.
Make sure that all letters are entered as capitals and that you're properly using zero vs. the letter O.

Red X displays instead of leads on Active Leads or Leads Selected screen.
Several areas of web-LEAD display information in a grid format that is driven by the Java™ Runtime Environment. Some newer versions of Microsoft Windows do not come with this software automatically installed.

Unable to add notes in comments section.
Some recent security updates may have corrupted your Sun Java™ software files. Please verify that it is still installed by following the steps below.

  • Navigate to this page in Internet Explorer.
  • Click on the Verify now button on the right side of the page in the Windows section and follow instructions.
  • If you receive any indication that there is an issue with any Sun Java™ files or applets, reinstall Java.
  • If there is no indication of an issue with any Sun Java™ files or applets, please contact us.

Browser Settings

For web-LEAD to work properly, the settings in each user's Microsoft Internet Explorer browser must have certain functionality enabled. The settings to check - and revise if necessary - are listed below. Please remember to save your changes.

Version 6 or earlier
First, open your browser and select Tools, then Internet Options.

  • On the General tab, click the Settings button in the Temporary internet files section.
    • Click Automatically. This is essential for quick response time.
    • Make sure that the amount of disk space to use is at least 250MB.
  • On the Security tab, click the Internet icon at the top and the Custom Level button at the bottom.
    • ActiveX® controls and plug-ins
      • Download signed ActiveX controls - Enable
      • Download unsigned ActiveX controls - Prompt
      • Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins - Enable
      • Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting - Enable
    • Downloads - File Download - Enable
    • Microsoft® VM - Java Permissions - High Safety
    • Scripting - Active scripting - Enable
    • Scripting - Scripting of Java applets - Enable
  • On the Advanced tab
    • Microsoft VM - Java™ console enabled (requires restart)
    • Microsoft VM - JIT compiler for virtual machine enabled (requires restart)
    • Security - Use SSL 2.0
    • Security - Use SSL 3.0
